UNSC Winter of Discontent: Field Report: January 18th 2550
Scans of the planet code named Pripyat has still given us reason to think a forerunner object is on the world. Though no Covenant has been sighted within the area, they may've been hear before. Surveillance shows what would've been a Covenant Colony, however the buildings look more like agricultural buildings and trade centers. Perhaps at one point it was a thriving colony, however that is still to be determined. Spartans of *REDACTED* planned to be deployed along with a single platoon of ODSTs. They've been advised of the harsh conditions, that being the high radiation levels due to what could have been a reactor melt down of sorts. In closing I suggest a full through investation of the sight before the Covenant come back for their colony.

I felt like I needed to write something for this. Hope you liked it lol
:02_04_2550: Survey team lead by Dr. William Caesland of colony world Pripyat, lost contact with ODST scout team Charlie Zeta at 1250 hrs 02_03_2550. Contact was lost after scout team Charlie Zeta entered an unmapped area of the ruins beneath the Covenant growing fields. While it is unlikely the Covenant knew about these ruins, a hostile presence cannot be ruled out. Our Spartan has suggested a search party be sent, but requests additional support be sent to find the missing team and to secure the site for further study. I concur as the examination of the site has yielded significant proof of origin belonging to neither Covenant nor Forerunner. An unidentified radiation is emitting from the ruins, which disrupts k-waves, so I suggest using passive h-dar when on final approach.
Ruins are NOT to be further explored by order of the director. Until my team along with Dr. John Stein has looked over the site. Dr. Stein has done research on a similar site code named *REDACTED* and would be best suited to research the site. As well the UNSC Hannible will be sent with additional team with Dr. Stein.
