Or under the classification of a SKY DOCK

The shorthand name is obviously a pun (though i loathe puns) but it still goes straight to the point, which i like. The idea of a Sky Dock was added into the fold only two years ago, for which i had not yet created an acceptable design. This final orientation was inspired by the Imperial symbol from the Galactic Civil War_a choice which coincides with the rest of my FS creations.

At 2,100 feet in diameter, the Sky Dock outmatches the ATLAS Super Carrier in both size and mass. Three are currently in-service, catering to all thirty ATLAS Carriers _ providing basic supply caches, emergency medical assistance, sleep quarters, and repair stations for all manner of FSM vehicles and mechanized apparati. Each Sky Dock is stationed within 200 miles of an active engagement zone, to offer safety to the station and still provide a close proximity for use in an emergency.

ive been trying to come up with a good modular design for space stations, id say this is a pretty good design.

oh dont worry bout it, i just thought the usage of an 8 octogonal was smart for large spacebattleships hangar docks. i might make something similar in teh Blockade runner game. look it up if you get the chance its pretty cool

Thanks! The ships seen are the only ones designed to fit the docking inlets, but other (smaller) crafts can access a secondary hangar through a top deck access. ^ ^
